The magical festive season is here. There will be No snow, No freezing temperatures but plenty of sunshine and warm weather. This is Christmas in Marbella. The count down to this fun season has already begun with decorations, nativity scenes and city lights adorning our charasmatic streets and plazas of Marbella and San Pedro.
Marbella Christmas events have already begun with the Inauguration of Nativity Scene, Lights and Santas Grotto until the 8th January with the closing of the season, celebrating The Three Kings (Los Reyes) on the 5th. It is a magical and exciting time for children and adults alike with the cooler evenings bringing the family together. Time to bring out the board games, enjoy the chimney, put up the Christmas tree and enjoy an over indulgence of wondeful Christmas food and warm snuggly moments... mmmm it is all positively delightful. Here in Marbella we can also enjoy great weather which invites you for a different, more outdoor Christmas experience but with all the traditions and trimmings of Christmas. Charity Xmas fairs and bazaars, face painting, games, lots of beautiful artesanal gifts and ideas for presents. Especially we recommend the charming Puerto Banús Christmas Market from the 10th of December to the 5th of January 2020. It is a jolly, family friendly kind of Christmas with lots to do and enjoy.
Have a wonderful festive season and a Happy Christmas,
The Dolan Team
Dolan Property office will be closed during the Christmas Holidays from the 24th of December 2pm until the 1st of January. We look forward to seeing you in 2020!

The clocks goes back. The days are shorter and nights are longer. The weather has cooled and there has been some much needed rain. You get this wonderful feeling of wanting to curl up on the sofa in front of the chimney with a warm cup of hot chocolate. This is the perfect time of year to enjoy the other side to Marbella and put your wellington boots on and take the family to one of the many the natural parks surrounding Marbella for example El Juanar and collect pine cones and wood for the chimney and admire the colourful fallen leaves. Marbella Trails in El Juanar
There is an old popular custom called El Tostón (The Roasting of Chestnuts) the last week of October and first week of November, where family and friends meet at the various white villages around Marbella and take a day trip into countryside to collect chestnuts and roast them around a fire. This can go on all night long, in typical Spanish style. El Tostón (Roasting Chestnuts) - Marbella Event. Halloween is also enjoyed during this autumn season and is a fun American celebration which all the family can participate in, especially with our little ones. Here are a few ideas you can enjoy all together - Family Halloween. This celebration coinsides with a more serious Spanish national custom on the 1st of November which is the Day of the Saints which honours the dead All Saints Day Fiesta.
Throughout the months of autumn we have some spectacular colourful sunsets to enjoy whilst sipping a refreshing cocktail on the beach or from your terrace. Also the countryside is full of variety of colours with some amazing nature trails to discover and of course we live in sunny Marbella with amazing sun filled days to still enjoy the promenade, the popular beaches and trendy chiringuitos.
And remember this weekend the hour is changing: WINTER TIME CHANGE!
"Roasting of chestnuts, Halloween and spectacular sunsets makes autumn in Marbella a pleasure..."
